Let’s keep it simple, we aren’t really reinventing the wheel here because Beeswax has been used by our ancestors for hundreds of years and they were using it for a number of uses. One key example is the way they used it as a dental tooth filling. Nontoxic and they lasted long! It was used by the Egyptians for making wax-based paint and by the Romans as a skin softener.
The benefits are truly endless and in today’s day and age, scientists are studying this active ingredient as a way to lower cholesterol, relieve pain and treat digestive ailments1.
Why not use something that is truly beneficial to our health and lifestyle, and use it on a daily basis.

This is not an alternative to plastics but a replacement! With an all-natural product, boasting properties that are not only beneficial to our health but also the health of our planet – there is no reason for us not to make the switch.

To truly understand the amazing benefits of this natural wonder, let us take a look at how we at Beeutiful Beeswax have taken this age-old ingredient to make this wonderful product that is sustainable to the environment.

Beeswax wraps are made by hand and with lots of care. The first step is to get the right balance for the infusion of the organic oils and the propolis (a by-product of honey and made by bees), into the 100% cotton fabric, to give it that malleable texture to mold it into any shape. This is what gives the wraps the flexibility to wrap almost any shape. We carefully cut the fabric into ideal sizes before they are dried. We patiently wait while the wraps are dried until they can be folded neatly and hand packed in Beeutiful packaging for shipment to you.

Beeutiful wraps play an important part in our mission of reducing the use of plastic and ensuring the end product is enjoyed by you. This is a testament to the passion and dedication of the team here at Beeutiful Wraps.

A chef never reveals their secret ingredients; however, the Beeutiful team has nothing to hide as we want you to know what goes into our wraps that would be protecting your food!

INGREDIENTS

The ingredients are sourced locally and we have been very careful and picky about what we use by sourcing the highest quality of ingredients, they are then put together by hand with lots of love and care.

Organic Beeswax

We source local Australian beeswax to make use of the high-quality products that are made passionately by local suppliers.

For our Beeutiful Beeswax Wraps, beeswax provides that protective barrier which keeps the wrapped item fresh for as long as possible.

Why do we use organic beeswax? Beeswax is fat soluble, this means that it can soak up chemicals quickly and hold onto them. When it comes to food, you want to keep harmful chemicals away - that is why organic beeswax is used as it is all natural. They are free from any chemicals you may find in other non-organic products.
Organic Jojoba Oil

Organic Jojoba Oil helps soften the wrap to make it easier to wrap around almost anything.
What is Jojoba you may ask? It is an oil derived from a bean which was used by the Native Americans many years ago for skin ailments. Jojoba has similar properties to the wax/oil produced by our own human skin which is why it is used as a means of providing the protection with our skin needs.

By using this oil in our wraps, it not only provides the functional benefit of softening the wrap, it is also beneficial for our skin when touching or heating up the wraps with our hands.

Jojoba Oil

Natural Pine Resin

This wonder ingredient is what protects the tree life from disease; now apply this to our wraps.
This adds the “sticky” factor to the wrap and holds it in place. It is eco-friendly and a sustainable product. Pine resins are also anti-fungal and anti-bacterial which provides another level of protection for the wraps!

Organic Coconut oil

To prevent the wraps from cracking when they get dry, we use this wonderful all natural organic product – coconut oil! This gives the wraps that ability to mould against any shape. This is also a key ingredient in our wraps that protect the wraps from bacteria and fungi. When it comes to food, you can never be too careful.

Cotton – 100%

100% cotton

Yes, we use 100% cotton and we won’t have it any other way. Cotton is used as it is really sustainable. It can be grown and is bio-degradable so when you’re finished using a beeswax wrap, you need not worry about causing the earth any more pollution. The best part of this ingredient is that it is renewable. When the beeswax and oils are applied to the cotton, this makes the cotton fabric unbreathable and gives our wraps that required sealing effect and thus protects your food.
